Profhilo Structura in Singapore
A doctor-led hyaluronic-acid injectable approach designed for selected patients with facial soft-tissue deflation who want subtle structural support rather than the projection of a conventional dermal filler.

Suitability depends on facial anatomy, the degree of volume loss and the result you are trying to achieve.
What is Profhilo Structura?
Profhilo Structura is an injectable formulation based on hybrid cooperative complexes of hyaluronic acid. Unlike a conventional cross-linked dermal filler, its published clinical use has focused on placement within selected facial fat compartments, particularly the lateral cheek, with the aim of improving soft-tissue support and facial tissue quality.
The distinction matters. A conventional filler is often selected when a patient needs deliberate projection, contour or replacement of a defined volume deficit. Profhilo Structura is generally considered when the goal is more subtle: supporting age-related soft-tissue deflation without creating a strongly projected or sculpted look.
Early clinical studies are encouraging, but the evidence base is still smaller than that for established hyaluronic-acid fillers. Results vary between patients and should not be presented as guaranteed fat regeneration.
When might it be considered?
Potentially suitable
Patients with mild-to-moderate facial deflation, flattening of the lateral cheek or early loss of soft-tissue support who prefer a subtle result.
May need another approach
Marked volume loss, significant skin laxity, strong projection goals or structural deficits may be better addressed with filler, biostimulation, energy-based treatment or surgery.
What it can — and cannot — do
Soft-tissue deflation
It may improve the appearance of selected areas where age-related changes in superficial fat contribute to a flatter or more tired contour.
Firmness and texture
Published studies report improvements in clinical measures of facial volume loss, wrinkles and firmness after treatment.
Not a surgical substitute
It does not remove excess skin, reposition markedly descended tissues or reproduce the structural changes achievable with a facelift.
| Approach | Typical role | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Profhilo Structura | Subtle soft-tissue support using HA hybrid complexes | Selected mild-to-moderate facial deflation |
| Dermal filler | Defined volume replacement, projection and contour | Specific structural or contour deficits |
| Skin booster | Hydration and superficial skin-quality improvement | Texture, hydration and fine surface changes |
| Biostimulator | Collagen stimulation over time | Patients seeking gradual firmness or structural support |

A treatment plan starts with facial analysis
The product is only one part of the decision. During consultation, the doctor assesses facial proportions, soft-tissue distribution, skin quality, asymmetry and the specific areas that concern you.
Injection depth and placement are chosen according to anatomy. Published Profhilo Structura protocols have focused on the lateral cheek fat compartment, but a patient's treatment plan should be based on individual assessment rather than copying a fixed injection map.
How many sessions?
Published pilot studies used two treatment sessions approximately one month apart. That does not mean every patient requires the same schedule. Your doctor may modify or avoid treatment depending on anatomy, response and clinical judgement.
Possible side effects and risks
As with other facial injectables, temporary effects can include redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising and small palpable areas at injection sites. Infection, prolonged inflammation, asymmetry or an unsatisfactory cosmetic result are less common.
Rare but serious complications from facial injections can include inadvertent injection into a blood vessel and tissue or visual injury. This is why anatomical assessment, sterile technique and appropriate clinical management are important.
- Bruising or swelling
- Tenderness or redness
- Temporary asymmetry
- Infection or inflammation
- Nodules or persistent swelling
- Rare vascular complications
Tell your doctor about
Medical history
Previous facial procedures, allergies, autoimmune or inflammatory conditions, active infection and a history of abnormal scarring.
Medicines
Prescription medicines, anticoagulants, antiplatelet drugs and supplements that may influence bruising or treatment planning.
Pregnancy
Elective aesthetic injectable treatment is generally deferred during pregnancy and breastfeeding because safety data are limited.
Recent procedures
Dental work, skin infection or other procedures near the planned treatment area may affect timing.
Profhilo Structura FAQs
Is Profhilo Structura the same as a dermal filler?
No. It is HA-based, but it is not a conventional chemically cross-linked volumising filler. It is used differently and is generally chosen for more subtle soft-tissue support rather than strong projection.
Will it make my face look fuller?
It may improve the appearance of selected areas of deflation, but the intention is usually subtle. The degree of visible change depends on your starting anatomy, injection plan and response.
How long do results last?
Published early studies have reported clinical improvement over follow-up periods of several months. Individual duration varies and should not be guaranteed in advance.
Is there downtime?
Many patients can resume normal activities relatively quickly, but bruising, tenderness and swelling are possible. Plan important social events with sufficient buffer time.
Can it replace a facelift?
No. Injectables cannot remove excess skin or reposition tissues to the degree achievable with surgery. Patients with significant laxity may need a different approach.
How do I know whether Structura, filler or a biostimulator is better for me?
The choice depends on whether the main problem is volume loss, projection, tissue quality, skin laxity or a combination. A facial assessment is more useful than choosing an injectable based on brand alone.

Is Profhilo Structura appropriate for your face?
A consultation allows us to assess whether subtle HA-based structural support, a different injectable approach or no treatment is the most appropriate option for your goals.
